Refinishing Process
What to expect....
Refinishing, also known as Reglazing or Resurfacing is a quick alternative to an expensive remodel.
WHAT WE DO:
Upon arrival, the refinishing technician will prep the area by taping up and covering surrounding areas to protect from paint & dust.
Next, everything will be sanded down, then cleaned to prepare the surface.
If it has been refinished before it will need to be stripped to remove all old paint to ensure adhesion.
Next, the coating will be applied with a HVLP spray system.
Last but not least, the equipment & coverings will be cleaned up & you will have a beautiful refinished surface! The process takes anywhere from 4-8 hours in total depending on the job. It takes 24 hours for the refinished surface to fully dry.
WHAT WE NEED:
We will need access to a window in order to ventilate the area.
We also need access to electricity and running water.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
You do not need to do anything to prepare for our arrival!
FOLLOW UP CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Detailed care instructions will be provided by the refinisher.
Wait at least 24 hours before using.
It is most important that you do NOT use bleach or any abrasive cleaners on the refinished surface as to not dull or damage the new coating.
Do NOT use any suctions cups of stickers. If you need a non-slip surface added to the bottom we can provide that at an additional cost.
